Daniel Andreas San Diego, wanted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for his alleged involvement in two bombings in San Francisco, has been caught.
On August 28, 2003, two bombs exploded approximately one hour apart on the campus of a biotechnology corporation in Emeryville. The fugitive was nabbed in Wales. He was detained in an operation supported by @TerrorismPolice and @NWPolice and now faces extradition to the U.S. to face charges.
FBI‘s Director Christopher Wray said Daniel San Diego’s arrest after over 20 years as a fugitive for two San Francisco bombings shows the bureau’s commitment to justice, stressing that violence is never the right way to express views.
“Daniel San Diego’s arrest after more than 20 years as a fugitive for two bombings in the San Francisco area shows that no matter how long it takes, the FBI will find you and hold you accountable,” said Wray. “There’s a right way and a wrong way to express your views in our country, and turning to violence and destruction of property is not the right way.”
The fugitive, born on February 9, 1978, had a $250,000 bounty placed on him.
