The NOPD is investigating a traffic accident that occurred Thursday night at the intersection of North Broad Street and Bellechasse Street, which killed an adult male.
Around 8:33 p.m., the driver of a pickup truck travelling East on North Broad Street attempted to make a left turn onto Bellechasse Street.
An adult male motorcyclist, reportedly travelling at a high rate of speed in the other direction on N. Broad, attempted to stop, crashing into the truck as it turned left.
The driver remained on scene and is cooperating with investigators. No charges have been brought at this time.
The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will determine the identity of the victim upon autopsy.
