Wanted: NOPD Identifies Murder Suspect Anjanau ‘Henny’ Davis in Fatal Shooting of Thanh Vu

New Orleans Police have arrested two suspects in connection with a murder which occurred on December 31, 2024. 

A third suspect has been identified and is wanted for the crime.

Wanted is Anjanau ‘Henny’ Davis (pictured), Black female, DOB 10/14/1999. She is wanted for the violation of Louisiana Revised Statute 14: 30.1 relative to second-degree murder.

Arrested are Nathanial K. Carpenter, Black male, DOB 07/11/2000. He is charged with the violation of Louisiana Revised Statute 14: 30.1 relative to second-degree murder.

Adrian Harris, Black male, DOB 11/06/1997. He is charged with the violation of Louisiana Revised Statute 14: (24) 30.1 relative to Principal to second-degree murder. 

All persons are considered innocent unless convicted in a court of law. 

According to investigators, the three suspects committed an armed robbery around 6:09 p.m. at a business in the 4600 block of Alcee Fortier Boulevard. During the course of the robbery, a store employee was shot by the perpetrators.

She was transported to hospital via New Orleans EMS but succumbed to her injuries on January 3, 2025.

The victim was identified by the Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office as Thanh Vu. 

Through investigation, Homicide detectives were able to identify all three suspects. 

Carpenter and Harris were found to be already incarcerated in the Orleans Parish Justice Center on charges not related to the murder. They were re-booked accordingly.

Davis is currently at large and is being sought by authorities.

The outcome of this investigation is credited to the hard work of the NOPD’s Sixth District, Seventh District, Homicide Section, Violent Crime Abatement Investigation Team (VCAIT), and Louisiana State Police Criminal Investigations Division detectives.
