Moultrie said, “It has been an incredible privilege to work side-by-side with U.S. Attorney Buchanan as the District’s First Assistant U.S. Attorney.

“Along with the dedicated and talented attorney, administrative, and legal support staff of our office, I will steadfastly continue our District’s mission to prosecute federal crimes, seek justice on behalf of victims and their families, represent the interests of the United States and its agencies in civil litigation, and maintain our robust relationships with law enforcement partners and community stakeholders.”

Moultrie has extensive experience in handling complex, high-profile matters in federal court.

He formerly served as Chief of the Office’s Violent Crime & National Security Section. A member of the American College of Trial Lawyers, he is also the previous recipient of the U.S. Attorney General’s Distinguished Service Award and the Executive Office of U.S. Attorneys Director’s Award for Superior Performance.
