The NOPD is investigating a homicide that occurred Saturday night in the 4100 block of Iberville Street that left one adult male victim dead.
At about 11:43 p.m., NOPD Third District officers responded to a call of a shooting at the location but relocated to the hospital when informed that the victims had already been transported by private conveyance.
Victim #2, an adult male, allegedly shot Victim #1, also an adult male, who then reportedly fired back, striking Victim #2.
Victim #2 succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will conduct an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death and to identify the deceased victim officially. Announcement of this information will come from the Coroner’s Office.
Investigators are currently in the process of gathering evidence and information. No additional details are currently available.
