New Orleans Police are asking for the public’s assistance with locating a suspect wanted for illegal possession of stolen things.
Wanted is Nelson Alexander Lopez Avila (pictured), a Hispanic male.
According to investigators, on January 3, 2025, a trailer reported stolen in Lake Charles, LA, was recovered by Auto Theft detectives in the 2000 block of Orleans Avenue.
Through investigation, detectives were able to identify Avila as being illegally in possession of the trailer after it was stolen.
