NCA Seizes Multimillion-pound Heroin in West London, Arrest Bernard Narh Over Drug Trafficking

A man has been charged after heroin worth more than £7 million was seized in west London.

Bernard Narh, 34, from South Oxhey, Hertfordshire, was arrested by officers from the Organised Crime Partnership – a joint National Crime Agency and Metropolitan Police Service unit – on Tuesday (28 January).

He was charged with drug possession with intent to supply after officers discovered more than 140 blocks of heroin after searching a flat in Ealing. The drugs had an estimated street value of £7.2m.

Narh was also charged with driving a vehicle while disqualified and without insurance.

He appeared at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court yesterday (30 January), where he was remanded into custody before his next appearance at Isleworth Crown Court on 27 February.

Andrew Tickner, NCA Operations Manager from the Organised Crime Partnership, said, “We have successfully removed a large amount of dangerous drugs from the streets, depriving a crime group of profits that would have been ploughed back into further offending.

“The NCA and Metropolitan Police continue to work in partnership to take action against individuals suspected of involvement in drug trafficking, which has a corrosive impact on communities in London.”
