U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement apprehended a Uzbekistani native convicted of a fourth-degree sex offence when officers arrested Islom Gaziev, 65, on February 4, in Owings Mills, Maryland.
Gaziev lawfully entered the United States through John F. Kennedy International Airport in Queens, New York, on October 20, 2015, and later violated the terms of his lawful admission.
The Westminster Police Department in Westminster, Maryland, arrested and charged Gaziev with a fourth-degree sex offence on August 20, 2024. The Carroll County Circuit Court convicted Gaziev of a fourth-degree sex offence on December 13, 2024, and sentenced him to three years of supervised probation.
ICE served Gaziev a notice to appear before a Department of Justice immigration judge following his arrest, and he remains in ICE custody.
