The NOPD is seeking the public’s help in locating a vehicle used by a machete-wielding armed robber on February 10, 2025.
Officers were called to a business in the 500 block of City Park Avenue at about 8:03 p.m. where an armed robbery had just been reported.
According to investigators, a subject who was armed with a long serrated machete demanded that an employee open a cash register and give him the cash.Â
The employee complied.
Through further investigation, detectives obtained security camera video that showed the suspect getting into the pictured vehicle, possibly a Volvo, and heading South on St. Louis Street.
The suspect is described as a male wearing a long-sleeved shirt, black ski mask, blue pants and blue gloves on top of white gloves. He was also wearing white plastic bags over his shoes.
