Honduran National Mario Antonio Mejia-Calderon Copped, Charged With Possessing Counterfeit Green Card, Illegal Reentry

An investigation by U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement has led to Mario Antonio Mejia-Calderon, 34, an illegal alien from Honduras, being charged with possession of a counterfeit permanent resident card – or “green card” – and illegal re-entry by a previously deported alien.

Mejia-Calderon faces a maximum penalty of 12 years in federal prison if convicted on both counts. He was arrested and ordered detained while awaiting trial.

Mejia-Calderon was found unlawfully present in the United States and in possession of a counterfeit green card on Jan. 24, after having been deported on June 11, 2013.
