U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested Julio Cesar Henao-Cordoba, a 38-year-old citizen of Colombia wanted by law enforcement authorities in Panama for aggravated rape of a child, outside his residence in State College, March 14.
Authorities in Panama issued an arrest warrant for Henao for aggravated rape of a minor on September 2, 2020.
The U.S. Border Patrol arrested Henao near Eagle Pass, Texas, for entering the United States without admission or parole by an immigration official on May 26, 2022. The next day, he was transferred to ICE, enrolled him in the alternatives to detention program and paroled him into the U.S.
Henao reported to ICE in York, Pennsylvania, on August 23, 2022, and ICE issued him a notice to appear, charging inadmissibility and terminated him from alternatives to detention due to his residence falling outside of the range of the program.
ICE detained Henao at the Clinton County Correctional Facility in McElhattan, Pennsylvania, following his arrest.
