Acting United States Attorney Sara C. Sweeney announces the return of an indictment charging Christian Harmon (38, Kissimmee) with receipt of child sexual abuse material.
If convicted, Harmon faces a minimum penalty of five years, up to 20 years, in federal prison.
According to court documents, on April 7, 2024, Harmon was chatting with another user on an internet-based application.
During that chat, Harmon requested child sexual abuse material and received approximately 22 illicit videos depicting the sexual abuse of children as young as infants.
An indictment is merely a formal charge that a defendant has committed one or more violations of federal criminal law, and every defendant is presumed innocent unless, and until, proven guilty.
