President Vladimir Putin will pay pregnant Russian schoolgirls in Kuzbass 100 thousand rubles, according to a resolution of the regional government.
“To establish from 01.01.2025 until the date of the official publication of this resolution a transitional period for the validity of the procedure and conditions for providing a one-time payment to a certain category of citizens, approved by this resolution,” said a government document.
During the transitional period, the provisional conditions are determined per the Kemerovo Region, Kuzbass law if there is a right to a one-time payment.
On a one-time payment to a certain category of citizens and the procedure, the one-time payment is provided regardless of the presence on the date of application for its receipt of conditions for provision, except the condition for receiving a similar payment for the current pregnancy in another subject of the Russian Federation, the document explained.
The resolution specifies the conditions for a one-time payment – training in a general education, vocational educational organization or higher education organization.
Pregnant schoolgirls and students of secondary specialised educational institutions and universities will receive payments. The recipients’ pregnancy period is 22 weeks or more, and the training must be full-time only.
Underage pregnant women’s legal representatives have the right to receive money based on a power of attorney, according to the document.
The press service of the Ministry of Social Protection of the Population confirmed to RIA Novosti that the one-time payment will amount to 100 thousand rubles.
Similar payments for pregnant schoolgirls and students were introduced in other regions, particularly the Oryol, Kursk, Saratov, Volgograd, Vladimir, Nizhny Novgorod, Tver regions and Chuvashia.
