PC Samuel McGregor, 33, appeared at Inner London Court on Tuesday, 15 April, where he was sentenced to four years and six months’ imprisonment.
After McGregor was convicted of rape, an accelerated misconduct hearing took place on Thursday, 27 February 2025, where McGregor was dismissed without notice.
He will be placed on the barred list held by the College of Policing.
Those appearing on the list cannot be employed by police, local policing bodies, the Independent Office for Police Conduct or His Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire and Rescue Services.
McGregor was convicted of rape following an investigation by detectives.
McGregor was previously attached to the Central North Command Unit was found guilty of rape on Friday, 24 January following a trial at Inner London Crown Court.
He had previously pleaded not guilty to rape at Inner London Crown Court Crown Court on 23 June 2023.
