Death-on-arrival Case in Castle Peak Reclassified As Murder

The Hong Kong police have reclassified as murder a death-on-arrival case in Castle Peak.

The police received a report from a man that his 34-year-old son was found unconscious in a unit at Oi Fai House, Yau Oi Estate. The man was sent to Tuen Mun Hospital and was certified dead at 2.27 a.m.

Upon further investigation, police reclassified the case as murder and arrested four men, aged between 58 and 64.

The four arrested men are being detained for further enquiries.

Investigation revealed that the deceased and the four arrested men allegedly fought with each other outside YO Mart in Yau Oi Estate in the small hours of the day the victim was found unconscious.

A post-mortem examination will be conducted later to ascertain the cause of death of the deceased.

An active investigation by the District Crime Squad of Tuen Mun District is underway.
