U.S. Court Convicts Foreign National Adelby Isloa Martinez Mendez for Unlawful Reentry

The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced that Adelby Isloa Martinez Mendez, 35, of Honduras, entered a guilty plea to one count of Unlawful Reentry of a Removed Alien.

The Indictment alleged that on or about March 5, 2024, Martinez Mendez, an alien, was found in the United States after having been previously deported and removed on two prior occasions.

The charges arose from an investigation by the Bryan County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement Division.

The Honorable Jason A. Robertson, U.S. Magistrate Judge in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, accepted the plea and ordered the completion of a presentence investigation report.

Martinez Mendez will remain in the custody of the United States Marshals Service pending sentencing.
