The NOPD is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect wanted in connection with a recent business burglary.
On February 12, 2025, Eighth District officers were called to the 800 block of Conti Street for reports of a business burglary. At about 4:30 a.m., the subject pictured left in the blue Nike jacket was seen smashing glass on the front door to gain entry.
Once inside, he was seen stealing about $5,000 worth of cigarettes, which he placed in a clear bag before fleeing on foot to the 200 block of Carondelet Street.
Through investigation, detectives found the suspect on security camera footage on another date walking inside the same business with another subject.
That person- pictured right with the Mardi Gras beads, is a person of interest and is not wanted in connection with this crime. He is often seen riding a yellow bicycle.
